With the WCOOP over bar the final stages of the main events, I decided to take a positive look at some great upcoming tournament events this fall / autumn. There are still plenty of opportunities for big scores – or depending on your bankroll a nice boost – including the awesome Fishmarket on the OnGame network which kicks off this coming Thursday!
I’ll also cover the Autumn Million at Party and the ever-increasing guarantees for the Sunday Majors at the leading US sites.
Fishmarket At OnGame
I made a separate post on this (see it here), so will just summarize here. Fishmarket is a $7500 gtd tournament which runs every few months at Red Kings Poker on the OnGame Poker Network. What is unusual about it is that all new depositors get a free ticket (worth $11) to enter this game on top of the usual choice of 6 huge welcome bonuses.
Since so many beginners are in the field the game is unbelievably soft, which attracts some of the regular players (including me!). This pushes up the prize pool… meaning the Fishmarket is a perfect combo of an easy game with a big prize pool.
This takes place on Thursday the 27th of September at 19:15 CET, with additional prizes including sports shirts and gadgets for the top 50 finishers!
Check out the awesome Red Kings Poker and grab your free Fishmarket token today!
Party Poker Autumn Million Satellites Running Now
In addition to their $200k regular Sunday Major, Party Poker have a quarterly ‘Million’ event – with opportunities to qualify from just $1.
The Autumn Million takes place on the 4th of November, and if this past weekend is anything to go on – the satellites are getting hot! You can buy in direct for $640, or join the sub-qualifiers for $1 or $2, then the daily $27 events to win a seat that way. Party are still the best known brand among non-poker players… meaning they get a big share of the ‘first timer’ market. You can claim your 100% matched welcome bonus (max $500) with bonus code PBKLUB – click here to check out Party Poker for yourself.
US Friendly Sunday Majors Update
Well, Merge have been reporting some delays in receiving Credit Card payments, which they promise to solve by early October. Meanwhile Revolution and Bodog have both overtaken them – at least as far as cash game player numbers are concerned.
Since the Sunday Majors were seeing increasing guarantees before the summer poker lull, I thought it would be good to see how they are looking at the end of September. Former mid to higher stakes MTT fans can now make a half decent schedule by combining all three!
Carbon: $125,000 Gtd
Cake (Revolution Network): $110,000 Gtd
Bovada: $100,000 Gtd
Alright, still some ways to go before the Sunday Million has any real competition… but those increases are a step in the right direction!
