Poker Maximus Returns To The Merge Network – Overview

Dates for your diary are the 6th September to the 16th September, there are 35 separate tournament events, mostly NL Holdem with a little HORSE, PLO and PLO8, in a range of structures including freezeouts, rebuys, second chance and 1R / 1A games.

Buy-ins range from $11 through to $550, with plenty of games in the $33 to $55 range and bigger guarantees at $109 and $215. With a total of $1.3 million in guaranteed prize pools there are going to be a lot of extremely happy winners at the end of this series.

Poker Maximus Schedule Highlights

Here are some of the things which caught my eye on the Poker Maximus schedule.

Firstly the main event is a double! On Sunday the 16th of September, there are 2 tournaments starting an hour apart, one with $150k guaranteed ($60 buy-in) and the other with $200k guaranteed ($530 buy-in). I’ll assume that these replace the usual $125k Sunday major – though it would be great to see this one running too!

The spread of buy-ins is even though the 10 days, with $11 events having prize pools of at least $10k guaranteed. The biggest $11 event includes rebuys and is a $40k guarantee – this is scheduled for Friday the 15th September.

Poker Maximus 2 – Satellite Qualifiers
